The best maintenance is a short inspection twice a year — in spring and before winter.
Frame, drainage and hardware
Mild soapy water removes dust. Check that water does not remain in the lower sections and that drainage holes are clear. Handles, hinges and locks should work smoothly.
Finish
Deal with scratches or early corrosion promptly. Do not use wire brushes, acids or abrasive powders. With correct installation and routine checks, steel windows remain beautiful and functional for many years.
