A steel window looks simple — metal and glass. But in the details of the profile lies the difference between a window for 10 years and one for a lifetime.
Jansen is a Swiss steel profile manufacturer with over a century of history. We do not work with them simply because they are premium — we work with them because they allow us to guarantee a result that other materials cannot.
What does Jansen do differently?
The profile wall is just 2 to 3 millimetres thick. That means the frame takes up a minimum of space and the maximum area is left for glass. The result is architecturally clean — the metal steps back, and space and light take over.
The profiles are available in two main lines: Economy 50 for standard interior use, and Arte with a thermal break for exterior applications. The latter is crucial — a thermal bridge is where the metal transfers cold from outside to inside. Breaking this connection means a thermally efficient window even in winter.
Soudal as the complement
The profile alone is not enough. Equally important is how the window is fitted and sealed. That is why we use Belgian Soudal sealing systems — resistant to UV radiation, moisture and frost.
We could work with cheaper profiles. Many companies do. But then we could not guarantee the result after 10 or 20 years — and that is not a trade-off we are willing to make.
